Join Carnfunnock staff for a morning of rock pooling, seeking out crabs from under rocks and getting up close and personal with some of the marine life which lives on the famous Antrim Coast, including sea anemones, limpets, starfish and who knows what else?! Meet at the Visitor Centre, wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Living History Tour of Larne.
Tour starts at Larne Museum and Arts Centre
Come and celebrate European Heritage Open Day as Larne Museum and Arts Centre brings characters from Larne’s history to life. Members of the Larne and District Historical society will lead people through the town where they are sure to meet and greet characters from Larne’s historic past. Suitable for families (children over 5) and dressing up and participation is encouraged. Cost is £2 per head and this will include a light lunch back at the museum

Beach clean up day in Carnfunnock Bay

As part of the Marine Conservation Society’s Beachwatch 2010, join staff as they undertake a clean-up and litter survey of the shoreline in Carnfunnock Bay and Tweed’s Port. We’ll provide the litter picks, bin bags and gloves – all you need to bring is yourself! Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Meet at Carnfunnock Visitor Centre, light refreshments afterwards. This is a free event.
Bushcraft Morning – Autumnal Wild Foods

If you got stranded in the woods, would you know how to find enough food to survive? Come along for a guided walk led by the Northern Ireland Bushcraft Association where they will point out and discuss some of the wild foods growing in the grounds of Carnfunnock

Fungus Foray

Join Carnfunnock staff and Debbie Nelson of the NI Fungus Group on a guided walk around the grounds of Carnfunnock where she will point out and talk about the various species of fungi growing in the Park. Wear suitable clothing and footwear. Please note the amount of fungi found is dependant of weather conditions. This is a free event.

The show features amazing special effects, a live band, magic, circus, dance, illusion and lots more! Suitable for ages 4+.
