The Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust today officially launched the first Management Plan for the Binevenagh Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) 2010 - 2020 on Friday 25th June 2010.

The area covers 16,594 hectares and stretches from the Bann Estuary and Portstewart Strand in the east to the Roe Estuary and shores of Lough Foyle in the west and south to Keady Mountain.

At a special event in Coleraine Bus and Rail Centre, the Binevenagh Management Forum in partnership with Translink unveiled the Management Plan to an audience of government, business, community, education and environment officials. Guests were also taken on a Translink NI Railways and Ulsterbus tour to fully appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the Binevenagh area.
