Antrim Coast & Glens AONB Management Plan - Have your say!

Wednesday, Apr 18 2007

A Management Plan is now being prepared for the Antrim Coast and Glens AONB. The plan is a real opportunity to highlight the importance of the area, determine what needs to be done to care for it in the future and to attract the funding that is needed to enhance what’s good and address what’s bad.

The preparation of the management plan has now begun. To make it successful we want to know your views about the area and what you think needs to be done to make it a better place for residents and visitors. This is an opportunity to say what you think about the AONB and to influence how it is cared for in the future. The plan is being prepared during 2007 and should be completed by early 2008.

If you like to be involved in the plan a series of public meeting will be organised late April/early May at the following venues:

  • 7pm 30 April, Skerry Inn, Newtowncrommelin
  • 7pm 30 Arpil, Houston's Mill, Broughshane
  • 3pm 1 May, McCuaigs Bar, Rathlin
  • 7pm 1 May, Marine Hotel, Ballycastle
  • 7pm 2 May, Millenium Centre, Loughgiel
  • 7pm 3 May, Old Schoolhouse, Cushendall
  • 7pm 10 May, Londonderry Arms, Carnlough
  • 7pm 10 May, Dixon Hall, Drain's Bay

This is a good opportunity for everyone to come along and have their say. Alternatively if you like to be involved in the plan preparation, fill in the questionnaire below and email or sent it back to us (the questionnaire can also be downloaded here).
